The team at Red Sage Communications, Inc. is proud to donate this website to the Decatur-Morgan County Community, in gratitude for its support of our small business since our founding in 2006.
These are unprecedented times. So many people and small businesses have been affected by COVID-19. Many may not ever recover. It is very hard to know how to make a difference in the face of such challenges. So far, our business is holding steady, and we are very aware that we are lucky and blessed. In 1 Peter 4:10, we are told "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." Our gift is marketing and website development and we wanted to share this gift to the community that has been so good to us and supported us for so many years.
There are so many great resources being shared by organizations in our community. Decatur Morgan County Tourism is pulling out all the stops to bring great, engaging content to share with all of us. The Princess Theatre is finding ways to bring music to our lives on a regular basis. David Breland and Decatur Parks and Rec have gone into overdrive to share knowledge of our local history with us. Carnegie Visual Arts Center is bringing their exhibits online for all of us to enjoy! The amount of time, effort, and commitment this takes should be recognized and applauded.
The Decatur Morgan County Chamber, the Hartselle Chamber, and the E-Center are doing their utmost to support the many small businesses who have been impacted. Morgan County Economic Development is nurturing and connecting our larger industries. Bankers are working overtime to help small businesses and non-profits apply for grants and loans.
Businesses of all sizes are doing the best they can to take care of their employees and try to hold things together.
United Way is leading the charge to organizing all of the local resources to help individuals and families in need, as are our churches and non-profits.
Our hospital and healthcare workers, emergency response teams including police, fire fighters, ambulance teams, are all serving on the front lines, risking their lives.
School systems and teachers are bending over backwards to connect with students and try to make sure our students don't fall behind.
So, so many people are sharing their time and talents to help others. We recognize that for every organization and name we mentioned in this list, there are literally hundreds of others. The list truly goes on and on.
These times are challenging. Yet it is during these times that we seem to remember that we are connected to each other and must do what we can to reach out a hand and lighten the load of those around us. We all have our own gifts to share. It is moments like this when we are most humbled by the generosity of the human spirit, most grateful for our communities, and most committed to finding a small way to do our part.
